Santa Clara Bikes was founded by Carlos Santa Clara in 2025. The idea was simple: to build steel bicycle frames by hand, in Portugal — and to do it well.

There is no industrial secret here. Steel is a proven material. TIG welding is a proven technique. What we do is apply both with care, without haste and without the cost compromises that affect quality.

We have reduced the product’s carbon footprint by building locally. We ensure dignified working conditions because we are an atelier, not a factory. And we deliver a bicycle that can accompany a cyclist for decades — because it was designed for that body, for that way of riding.

Every decision is made together. Every frame has a name.
